Jeff is a principal in Somerset’s Health Care Team. Jeff initially spent over nine years in public accounting as an Information Systems Consultant specializing in physician practice consulting and accounting software systems design and implementation. He has worked for over eleven years as the Chief Financial Officer of two medical groups in Indianapolis—the largest reaching fifty-five physicians, and was Vice President of Finance for an Indianapolis-based provider of advanced diagnostic imaging and Leksell Gamma Knife facilities operating in thirteen states. Jeff’s specialty areas include Radiation Oncology, Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology, Orthopaedics and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. His experience includes physician practice management; operations management including new facility design, construction, financing and start-up; new venture feasibility analysis; physician group and facility negotiations; Stark and other health care regulatory issues; physician-hospital and multispecialty joint ventures; physician practice merger, spin‑off and valuation issues; compensation plan analysis and design; physician employment agreements including buy/sell provisions; and information technology issues such as practice management systems, electronic medical records and radiology PACS systems.

Education

Jeff graduated magna cum laude from Ball State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in both Accounting and Management Science (Management Information Systems).
